I have been working with and repairing BOLEX H16 cameras, lenses and accessories for many years. First in England, then ten years in France and now back in England. I use the factory manuals as reference and I use only genuine BOLEX parts. I know how important it is to have a camera that works well and one in which you can have complete confidence. Film making, whether it be documentary, wildlife, sport or commercials is difficult enough at the best of times and the last thing a film makers wants is a camera, or lenses that lets him down. I have heard some horror stories and know of many disappointments.

It is extremely important that your equipment is right before shooting starts. Many people will remember me from the days in England, both in Bristol and in Wembley. I had a workshop there for many years and I repaired and serviced Arriflex, Bolex, and other cameras and lenses as well as accessories. During the years that I worked with and repaired cameras I gained a considerable amount of knowledge and I happy to help in any way that I can, whether it be what to buy and or how to use what you have got or just bought. I rather you didn't ask me to compare one make against another, the comparisons are endless, it depends too on what you want to do .. and of course how much money you have to spend.
